Suman is a part of the Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) team at AIM, trying to foster curiosity, creativity, and invention in young students and create next-gen innovators in India. He strives to optimize the ecosystem of 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) across India, providing access to STEM education and innovation skills to over 1.1 crore students. He has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing flagship initiatives such as the School Innovation Marathon, the ATL Tinkering Curriculum, and the Teacher Training program in partnership with UNICEF. His diverse portfolio also includes leading AI Integration in Curriculum (with Intel), managing the ATL Student Entrepreneurship Program, and executing the Tinkerpreneur Digital Bootcamp. He is currently working on the next phase of establishing 50,000 ATLs, utilizing cluster-based approaches (Sarthi) and PPP models to scale impact.
Prior to joining NITI Aayog, Suman was the CMO and Head of App Development at WitBlox, an IIT Bombay alumni EdTech startup funded by Neotec Hub and Mumbai Angels. There, he built a Robotics Learning Hardware Kit and a gamified self-learning app, while also managing content and online sales. Their startup was also featured in Shark Tank India Season 1. He also briefly worked with BYJUS during the launch of their Mumbai operations. He dreams of making India the STEM Education capital of the world and making innovation accessible to everyone.
